Mr. N Rao is a B. Tech. from IIT Kharagpur, and has done his M.S. Operations Research & Industrial Engineering from Purdue University, USA with 40 years of experience in various disciplines in organisations like National Cash Register, USA; Union Carbide India and the Nagarjuna and Pennar Groups.
He is the Promoter and Vice-Chairman of Pennar Industries and also the Chairman of Pennar Chemicals Limited and has been the Chairman of the Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (APIIC) for two years (1988-89). He was also a member of the Planning Board of Andhra Pradesh State, for two years.
Mr. Rao is the Ex-National President of the Indo-American Chamber of Commerce and a Past President of the Hyderabad Management Association. He received the Dr. Nayudamma Gold Medal for his contribution to Industrial Development in the State and the "Entrepreneur of the Year" Award by the Hyderabad Management Association.
Backed by 25 years of experience in senior positions in field of HR, legal and general management fields, he has been a part of the Pennar group, Andhra cements, Bakelite Hylam Limited, Hyderabad Allwyn Limited among other major companies. After carving an unique image as IR and Labour Law specialist, In the year 2000 he promoted Resource Inputs Limited to provide total HR services.
Having authored a number of articles on productivity, human relations, labour laws, innovative approaches in HR Management etc., he has also addressed several conferences and seminars. He is also the Founder Secretary of National HRD Network Hyderabad Chapter and State Committee member and sub-committee chairman of Employers’ Federation of Southern India – AP Branch.

An LL.M. - Labour Laws and a Post Graduate Diploma holder in Industrial Relations & Personnel Management, he is a leading advocate in the hon’ble high court of Andhra Pradesh and lower courts and tribunals, labour, industrial, ESI, WC, PF courts/applet tribunals for the last 21 years.
He also practiced other branches of law including civil law, criminal law, and matters under consumers protection act, Service matters before the Administrative Tribunals etc. He is also the President of A.P. Labour Law Practitioners’ Association and Associate Legal member of The Employers Federation of Southern India.
